I've been alone too long and I'm looking for friends who have some similar interests. I like to write, especially poetry - though I have to be in the mood for that. I enjoy listening to all kinds of music - even the pan pipes. I have a college education but that doesn't mean much - it's the intelligence that goes further than the degree. I'm searching spiritually - I've looked into some different things but am basically a Christian at heart. I like to hike when I can find the time, but with my work it doesn't happen too often. And the writing and the music and the hiking - they all take me away to a more peaceful place.

Sorry, haven't been to my pings lately, so this is a bit late. Was actually thinking about you, but thought you were away from a computer. Hubby found something about diabetes, heart disease, CFS, AND Fibro! Not a guarantee - nothing is - but it did help his diabete's lower noticably, so maybe. Get your doc to check your vitamin D levels. If they are "somewhat low, but still in normal range," or worse, taking more might make you feel a little better.

Your story about how you met your husband isn't bland, but mine isn't grand either. I met James on eharmony and I actually wrote to him first which I rarely do. No problem. I've had the feeling (or non-feeling) and wondered about it, too, but after examining my underlying feelings, it wasn't that I didn't care, just that I was okay with it. I think it helps if you really, truly believe we go to a better place. I think a lot of people HOPE it's true, but you can tell how they behave that they don't really believe it. I'm sure your relatives would prefer you did not waste a lot of time and energy horribly upset.
